The Legal Aid Society: strengthening the brand identity of the nation’s oldest and largest social justice law firm.
The Legal Aid Society is the nation’s oldest and largest social justice law firm united in one simple but powerful belief: that no New Yorker should be denied the right to equal justice. The Legal Aid Society advances its mission through rigorous client representation in various courts, community education, class action, impact litigation, and systemic law and policy reform.
As a contract Graphic Designer I worked to elevate and strengthen Legal Aid’s brand identity by developing compelling graphics, publications, visualizations, and other creative assets.

Working closely with the organization’s communications department, I developed a wide range of collateral including print and digital materials, telling the stories of Legal Aid’s clients, supporters, and legal and advocacy victories.
I also developed custom illustrations for feature stories, including the series below on New York Police Department misconduct lawsuits. These lawsuits cost the city tens of millions of dollars each year in settlements, and many of the officers involved not only stay with the department but get promoted.
